The North Face challenges you once a year to conquer one of of 4 distances: 10K, 21K, 50K Y 80K in the sacred land of Pachacamac, just one hour south of Lima. Although Pachacamac lies in the valley of the Lurin River, just east of the foothills of the Andes Mountains, this race tests your ability to climb, taking on elevation gains from +400m (10k) to +4200m (50k), depending on the race.  Fortunately, the race starts near sea level, so there are no altitude issues to deal with, just getting your booty ready for a good endurance challenge!

The Pachacamac region dates back to 200AD, pre-incan civilization.  Pachacamac means in Quechua, “the creator” or “earth maker,” and this area was known to maintain religious significance even throughout the Incan rule.  You will experience the history as you run through these mountains, impressed by their magnitude, inspired by their energy.  We will leave at different times from Lima, depending on race times, and can coordinate for camping if preferred for 50k and 80k racers.

21K: 6:30 am Start Time / +1100m Elevation / Est. Race Time 2hrs – 5:30hrs
10K: 7:30 am Start Time / +400m Elevation / Est. Race Time 45m-2hrs

What to bring?

80K, 50K: Mandatory: 1L hydration pack, whistle, thermal blanket, food reserves, flashlight + extra battery, cel phone with roaming option.
50K: Mandatory: 1L hydration pack.
10K: Mandatory: At least a 7oz/15cL cup for hydration.

Recommended for ALL: hat or visor, sunglasses, sunscreen,gloves
